Red Dot Storage is looking for a motivated finance professional to join our Boulder, CO team as a Financial Associate.

The Financial Associate is a key member of the Company’s Finance Team and will report directly to the VP of Finance. They will be responsible for managing and supporting a broad spectrum of corporate finance initiatives, learning by working closely with the VP of Finance and other senior members of the Finance Team. All applicants should have a history of outstanding academic and professional achievement with a working knowledge of and keen interest in business, finance, and accounting principles. The strongest applicants will demonstrate intellectual curiosity, eagerness to work hard in a dynamic and collaborative environment, and a high capacity for strategic thinking.

–Develop and maintain complex and detailed three-statement financial models used for raising capital and valuation of existing investment funds
–Design, test, and implement processes and procedures for maximizing the efficiency of Finance Team operations, including through the evaluation of structural changes to streamline access to data via the accounting and reporting systems
–Organize, prepare, and review reports and presentations for management, external parties, and the board of directors
–Research, analyze, and interpret historical financial data to provide informed and concise explanations for performance variance and to deliver data-driven conclusions that help senior management make operational and strategic decisions
–Support the annual budget and rolling forecast processes at the property, investment fund, and corporate levels
–Develop fund- and corporate-level liquidity projection models used for cash management and to inform capital funding decisions
–Support financial negotiations and capital structure formulation through detailed analysis of potential alternative structures and their impact on the company
–Support all aspects of transaction processes, including due diligence, creation of transaction documents, and data room management
–Manage bank relationships and debt, including fulfillment of reporting requirements and monitoring and projection of loan covenant compliance
–Assist with the assessment and administration of business insurance programs and other risk mitigation activities
–Support investor relations activities by maintaining investment records, tracking investment fund performance, and preparing quarterly investor reporting packages
–Conduct in-depth company and industry research for benchmarking against peers
–Support capital allocation decisions and provide investment analysis for new markets, products, and other corporate development opportunities
–Construct and optimize ad-hoc operational and financial models to support corporate finance and development initiatives and perform scenario analyses to evaluate alternatives
–Manage and mentor analysts and provide analytical support to other departments across the organization

Qualifications and Skills:
–3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting
–Strong quantitative abilities with a strict attention to detail
–Resourcefulness and tenacity when approaching new challenges and solving intellectual problems
–Ability to organize and pursue multiple assignments simultaneously, with frequent reprioritization
–Capacity to excel in both collaborative and self-directed settings
–Enthusiasm about developing a diverse set of skills while executing tasks with initiative and integrity
–Courteous, diplomatic, and professional conduct with excellent communication skills
–Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
–Experience in transaction processes and deal structuring with proficiency in interpreting legal documents and modeling term sheets
